Rhys is getting a sister!

Rhys and I went to the Greater Houston Pembroke Welsh Corgi Fanciers' fall funday today (where Rhys won the prettiest eyes competition...thankyouverymuch).

I ran into his breeder, who brought his tricolor littermate Andrea. She had kept Andrea as a potential showdog, but unfortunately Andrea is a small corgi (less than 20 pounds at a year, but she is precious). Also the breeder, Karen, has produced a litter a year for about 20 years and she wants to take a break from the breeding biz for awhile. So she said that she was going to find Andrea a new home. Of course, I HAD to ask "how much are you selling her for?" and...um, yeah....to make a long story short....Andrea, Rhys's only sister, is going to be joining our little pack in about a week or two. Karen is going to have her spayed this week, then transfer her to me once she's healed up.

I'm such a sucker. You can't have just one, can you?

Anyway, I've heard a lot of people say that having two is better because they can keep each other company. And it is better to introduce a sibling earlier than later, I assume...?
