At least 2 times a walk Ruby will stop and roll around on her back on the grass -apparently a form of scent marking. She really looks like she is in heaven when she does this and sometimes it lasts for 30 or so seconds. I dare not pull on her leash while she is in this vulnerable position so I just wait for her to finish. Sometimes she will do it numerous times and when we come back inside before I take the leash off she will roll on the carpet. Mostly she rolls imediately after I take the leash off. I was alway curious if this was pure delight or just marking or some combination of the two.
