Some friends of mine let me use their backyard for Riley's first birthday. I bought wine and cheese for the bi-peds and had a special cake ordered from a dog bakery - it was in the shape of a big purple bone. Rupe's birthday is in February, so for his first birthday I rented the space at a local doggy daycare and he and all his friends got to run around indoors and have a blast. I got coffee and muffins for the people.
If Milo has special people in his life, invite them - he'll love it and they'll get a kick out of it too.
