Beware of cats. Be very aware.
It is now reported that cats can spread the ever increasing Bird Flu. First off, they come in contact with infected birds and going as far as eating them or biting into them as cats are prone to do with our poor birds. And then there is the ability of cats to spread the Bird Flu among themselves and eventually there is the distinct danger that this could trigger off strains of the Bird Flu affecting humans via our little pussy cats.
While there might be 52 million dogs in the USA - there is estimated to be around 85 million cats.
Where Bird Flu is apparant, cats should be confined. I think this will be fraught with difficulty. The latest country where the Flu has emerged is the United Kingdom - in Scotland to be precise.
