Getting Dewey

I decided to create this online journal to chronicle the events leading up to the arrival of my first dog Dewey. This whole process is very new to me and I feel like I need someone to hold my hand through all of it. I trust you guys to offer the best, friendly advice. If you keep up with this journal please let me know if I should go about something a different way. If you see that I'm spending too much money or if I'm being a little bit unreasonable ^_^; let me know. I'm eager to do the right thing.

------

Dewey is three weeks old and is one of five males. I believe, though I'm not quite sure, he lives in Indiana right now. I live in Virginia. The breeder charging me $400.00, shipping included. I've spent $50 as a deposit to 'reserve' Dewey so now I only have $350 left to spend. In the beginning I expected to pay $800 and so did everyone else I talked to.

October 15th, 2006:
Received a reply email from my friend "Aaron", my friend with the all of the breeder contacts. I asked for him to get pictures of Dewey's parents. He said he was busy with his own things and that he would try to contact the breeder when he coulld. I thought this was odd since it takes but a few seconds to send an email. I would do it myself if I know how to contact them.

Later on I went to work to pick up some cat food and cat toys and I couldn't help but check out the dog toys and leashes. I never really looked at those sections before but now I had to stop myself from buying things..!

Today is not pretty eventful. If you all need more information, let me know! My biggests concerns are getting scammed and having Aaron let me down.
