When my previous Corgi had two successive operations for ligament damage to his back legs, some of his coat where the ops took place had to be shaven - and boy I couldn't wait for the hair to grow back again - it took something like three months to be fully regrown on each occassion and with a Corgi's trousers or skirt (depending if they are boy or girl), it is never quite the same again as it was originally - not as perfect or as fluffy. BUt I'm picking that Buta will have an even better coat texture etc when it regrows because the problem will (hopefully) have been solved and all the stuff that's been administered in the past, won't have to be applied again and that will mean a natural coat can blossom unhindered. It's good that youir climate suits a less that well coated Corgi.
