Sometimes "we" are the only voice or means of teaching responsible pet interaction and behavior. That doesn't mean we shouldn't correct children or remove our dogs from harms way if the situation warrants (even avoid situations when they are known

), but in the best interest of any future pet that may end up in such children's homes, at least they have one frame of reference for how to do things right. Screaming at them and treating them as disrespectfully as they are behaving is not a good role model or message to send. <IMHO>
