Well, Huw had his official first vet visit on Monday (his breeder is a vet, and vaccinated him before he came home). We had to go a few days early because Monday morning, the big mean bad cat Myrtle thwaped Huw in the head. He was winking his eye, and I thought I saw a scratch...so there was no waiting. He absolutely loved the vet hospital!!! He really likes the toy they gave him and the treats he got. Dr. Stacey gave him two thumbs up for appearance, health and attitude; said he was one of the sweetest corgis she's ever met. In my eight years in veterinary medicine, it was pretty common for most puppies to be pretty tired after all of the excitement and the vaccine. Not Huw! He was full of it...I swear the shot was pure adrenaline!!! He didn't take one nap from 5:00pm until bedtime at 10:00pm. Dang dog!

Oh, and yesterday we had another fun medical issue. Someone learned where the cats eat...and thought that their food was super yummy. Needless to say, he was bloated all night, nibbled at his dinner, had a hard time pooing until this morning...and then it was go go go. Hopefully dad is keeping a better eye on him today. The cat food is now out of reach, much to the dismay of the two girls. Poor boy dog though...he looked so miserable and his tummy was almost touching the ground. Much better today...silly boy dog.
