I was off for a bit, came on and read on this- the photos of the parent dogs are not showing up in the link anymore (it might be my computer today!) I will say that your initial investment being low often times means that you could pay more in vet bills down the line, and possibly you could pay with your heart, when the puppy you fall in love with ends up sickly and passing at an early age. I would rather save up a little and really talk to the local breeders and try to find a nice healthy pup from nice healthy parents. You can learn a lot about the care of the puppies by the way they parents look. I think you have made the smart choice here by waiting and looking for a breeder on your own- i agree with linda that you should ask the breeders that you talk to if the parents have been screened.
