Milo is not protective with his paws. I always played with his paws early on since he was young.

Milo knows how to give us his hand and so good at it that we don't even have to ask sometimes.

My trick: Have your corgi in the sitting position. Hold a treat and say "hand" and lift his hand/paw to his eye level. Say good boy/girl and give the treat. Do this repetitively and consistently. Eventually, he/she will know it. It took us 2 months but not consistently doing it. It worked and now, he gives us his right or left paw when asked. He's so good at it he does while standing, laying down, or lying on his back.
