Dogs love most of what we love - and its at least as bad for them as it it for us. Don't forget Corgis are very small and we are comparatively large. So a piece of cheesecake or round cake cointaining multiple ingredients that are a no no for Corgis. is like us having the entire cake-plus all in one go.
Hope Msss Gambler is ok and it was just the cake and nothing more lasting or difficult to pin down.
I didn't see it but a British programme series on difficult dog problems being solved - and most of these problems are worse than anything shown on the Cesar Millan show - had one segment showing a woman who had several little dogs of one breed and she treated them all like she would her own human children - feeding them off the dining table with straight out human food - main meal and dessert. Of course it is pure dog abuse.
