Miss Gambler's mom, Don't beat yourself up too badly here. As long as a lesson was learned and Miss Gambler is ok, then there is no harm no foul. I am very careful how much human food i offer to Dillon. When i give him a real big treat ( not daily either i might add) i give him a piece no larger than a dime - It can be very difficult to not give into the begging face. But I do know that his weight plays a big part in his overall health and I want him around for a long time healthy and happy, so i don't give in. I did not know, however, that poppy seeds are toxic to dogs, so that is something i have learned here. I wonder how many other things are out there that we dont think about that are toxic- the ones i know of are raisins and grapes, chocolate, caffeine, and onion... anyone know of others?
I hope that Miss Gambler feels better very soon.
Emilie
