I walked into a Petsmart about a year ago with Tucker on his leash. We were coming around a corner of an isle when we ran into a woman w/ a ferret on a leash. No... I wasn't hallucinating!
Anyway.... Tucker kind of stood there and looked at the ferret, didn't make a sound. The ferret started climbing on Tucker as if to play. Finally Tuck started sniffing the ferret, did the play bow, and rolled over and let the ferret climb on him.
So no immediate reaction to the ferret but I suspect (after watching the way he bashes his sister Lulu around) he would eventually think the ferret was just another playmate. I would be afraid if left unsupervised, he might get rough. I suspect a ferret could inflict some damage with bites if prompted.
