I am the type of person that only takes tylenol when desperate, and it has been a number of years since I have taken any sort of prescribed medication. I take ALL medications in my household very seriously. When I decided to put Miss Gambler on Frontline Plus, I asked about the medication during her physical. I was told to use it monthly. I never take just one person't word on matters(that tyoe of person, as well) so I called Merial Pharm., the maker, and asked questions and voiced my concerns. Here is the breakdwon on Frontline Plus for Dogs 23-44 pounds. It kills fleas FOR UP TO three months, it kills ticks for one month(and in an area with Lyme disease, that's a problem), it kills lice for a month, it helps control mange for a month, and is waterproof for a month. As you can see, to get the full benefits of Frontline Plus, to be covered completely, you have to use monthly. We live in two of the year-round warmest states in the US, California and Nevada, we have cats, and Miss Gambler travels a lot and stays in numerous dog friendly hotels and inns. This choice was not taken lightly, or ignorantly, how could anyone possibly take issue with my logic, or assume that I had not asked about the product or read the label. (This is said with much respect for everyone on this site.)
