I'm soooooo proud!

This morning I had Tucker and Lulu off leash at the elementary school running around the athletic field. I didn't hear a runner approaching us but knew something was up when both dogs suddenly were paying attention behind me.

I saw the runner approaching us and told both: "Sit". They did! I added "Stay". And Tucker did!!!!! Hooray!

He sat quietly and watched the man avoid running over Lulu who broke her "stay" and had to go introduce herself.

What a GOOD BOY! It killed him to not run and meet a new person but he sat, looked at me for his release word, and waited patiently until I had apologized profusely to the runner and got Lulu under control.

Lots of praise and pats on the head for that one (I had no treats w/ me!).

Yes, sometimes all this training actually pays off!
