I personally thank all the GI's and their families for all they have done for our country and other countries as well. After all, they are the ones that fought for our freedom of the right to religion, the right to vote and the right to free speech.

Bonnie,

I just got an email sent to me this morning by my sister in law with what you just posted. Isn't it true that so many want to come to the US to live and be protected, yet at the same time they hate us. I also thank our military wholeheartedley and their families and what they go through to protect us; it certainly would not be easy to be a parent and have my son over there worrying about him daily whether he would come home or not and really, many of these boys are still kids at 18 - but look how brave they are. We are always helping other countries and Many countries live under the security of our Military protecting them whether they want to admit it or not. Freedom is wonderful, but it does not come without a price.

If someone has clear cut answers on how to end the war and Guarantee our safety against another terrorist attack, I am all for it. That is just it, everyone wants change, but no one seems to be able to give an exact plan on how they will accomplish this.

When my 17 year old son flies on a plane next spring, with his high school baseball team to go to Florida, I want him to be safe and I already know I will be worrying about it - I can't imagine what families of 911 went through.
