The Science Diet Chip is getting is T/D - specially marketed and formulated for teeth to help keep them clean. He's only getting 2 or 3 a day as treats (these are BIG). Science Diet as a brand, unless there is a prescription reason for an animal to be on it, not one of my personal favorites or one I recommend. Although I did receive a sample bag of their new lamb & rice and it was much better ingredient wise than the other over the counter lines.

Beneful, looks pretty, but is full of dyes and chemicals to make it look that way. Check your ingredient label - how much corn and where is it in the ingredient list. The first ones on the list are what are in it in the greatest proportion. Darci's mom Cindy has done some good threads and posted some good links about foods in the archives.

Informed owners and breeders are switching early and some don't even feed puppy brands at all. Puppy food is basically a marketing ploy by dog food manufacturers anyway. And for goodness sakes, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT feed the recommended amounts on the dog food bag. Way TOO much food and you must remember dog food companies are in the business of selling dog food.

Canned or wet food, I don't feed it as a norm. There are times I do under special circumstances.

Supplements - vitamins, everybody gets 500 mg of Vitamin C and a TBS of plain yogurt. Munchee gets some special supplements for showing and Berry has been started on those as well. Most of the supplements I add are for individual dogs' needs related to age and would not be applicable for Milo, so no need to mention them.
