I am glad that Egan is feeling better, wow those fire ants are scarey. I was visiting in FL two years ago and found one, they HURT! poor baby...Kisses to him.
On an important note Tylenol IS toxic to CATS it causes severe damage to the kidneys. Please never give tylenol to a cat. My vet did tell me i could give my cat who was suffering from some arthritis a half of a baby aspirin every day IF she was showing signs of pain...HOWEVER- i never did give her any, opting instead for glucosamine chondroitin suppliment which has eliviated much of her limping and pain...so I am a firm believer in that instead. Before anyone gives any medications made for humans to a pet, they should check with a vet that they trust. I have styptic powder in my home emergency kit for just such a toenail emergency, however ,knock wood, i have never needed it.
