Maximus did this when we first brought him home. When we would take him out he would run around us and nip at the back of our legs. To correct this we would stop were we were, turn and face him, tell him NO, turn back around and continue walking, when he did not nip we praised him. It took a while put he does not do it any more. His new thing is to growl at my son-in-law when he thinks that he is bothering my daughter. I think Maxi thinks my daughter is his possession and he must protect it. He really has a lot of love for her. Just a new action that we have to figure out how to correct.
