Christmas Parade
Taylor is in the annual Upper Hutt Christmas street parade for the second year. The event will be held on Sunday, December 3. And in respect of it, my wife made a really smart bow tie out of the remaining material from his dress-up cloak. So he's going to look very smart indeed because the bow tie is the finishing touch that the outfit needed. The material is just brilliant - glittering, and dark at the same time. Don't tell my wife, but the material was priced at $90 a metre. And then I had to pay a dress maker to make the cloak. Still it is a one-off thing. I got the idea for the bow tie from Go Corgi member, Barbara who dresses up her Corgi with one when they compete in dog dancing.
Now this might be going too far - and my wife promises to stay away from the parade - but I am also going to be wearing a bow tie and also a pure white cap, creamy white trousers, red socks and a T-shirt that features a large photo of Taylor on the front of it and the words 'Corgis are cool' on the back.
The parade lasts about an hour and we cover more than a mile.
