LOL jessica, I thought i was the only one who did the nose kiss!!!
I also make him wait for his food. I put down the bowl and he sits and stares at me until he hears me say OK. He will not start to eat until i ok it. He will sit and anxiously look at me and drool but wont break the sit. He is good thatway. I started him that way from day one. And yes, it is never too late to start a new training lesson. These are very smart dogs and can learn anything with some consistancy in training.
