Duchess has picked up a few ticks this fall. We didn't have any all summer. When I find a tick and she knows I am about to pull it off she growls. She used to scare me with the growl but now I know she doesn't mean it. After I pull the tick Duchess will jump on me and dance around like she is saying, aren't I a good girl? She always gets a treat for letting me do this or any other grooming chore.
