Stand on one side with the flap open and hold a special treat towards her. When she comes through, give her the treat. Keep doing this until she is comfortable and then put the fold down and try it. Chip started through the doggie door at my daughters when he was little bitty and he loved it. He thought it was a game. He watched my daughter's dog go through and then he went through so little ones can do it. Hope this helps. We don't have a doggie door at our house.
