[Chip's Mom]

Jane: I have never heard of that before. I have 4 dogs and none of mine are biters but they all will let me know if someone has driven in the yard or come through the gate. The only time they don't bark is when my husband or myself come home and then they meet us at the door. They are not continuous barkers - they just sound the alarm or greeting. Chip and Maybelle both about the same age will walk the fenceline every morning to see if an invasion has occurred during the night. When Digger was just a young puppy about 2 - 3 months old, we took him camping and a bear walked through our campsite. Digger growled and barked until the intruder went away but he wasn't a biter either. I live out in the country so I am glad for the added security.
