When Taylor somehow gets from the back of our property to the front by way of a neighbous property and a little use of the public pavement - and waits in our front door shelter to be let in, he always puts on the slink act - I know I've been naughty and went against the regulations, but please don't be mad at me - and of course he gets away with it. Sometimes he prefers to wait by the front door for entry inside that to stay around the rear of our property which is large and interesting but without the human companionship.
And interestingly, when he waits by the front door after sneaking from the back, he never has once done anything else, vocally or with his four feet, but wait patiently, though the whole world is his oyster in those moments.
