As a new (first time) owner of a young corgi I have a question. She often snorts and grunts like a pig - when she is cuddling, sleeping or just playing in general.....is this normal for corgis? First time I have ever had a dog do this and of course this is my first corgi. She has earned the nickname of "Miss Piggy" and that is only because of this sound. Yes, she is a gobbler of food, so she gets it in small increments. (per the instructions of my daugher - Checkers). The last thing I want to do is put her in any harms way. She has an appointment to have her hernia fixed and to be spayed the first week of February. She will almost be 6 months old then.

By the way - she is getting along great with the other dogs in our home - an older BIG black lab, 2 older chihuahuas - and with the cats. So funny to watch her reaction around the cats......I don't think she has figured out what they are yet! LOL (and yes, they are declawed!)
