I have a larger than necsessary crate. The longest trip I made w/ him I put the crate in the back of the station wagon with a Nyla bone and hos blanket. He travelled most of the way in the crate. Around town I let them ride in the front seat, back seat, back end of the wagon, wherever they want to be. But when I am driving on interstate highways, I feel better when they are in the big crate.
