gladly glencorgi. Well, i just turned 18 and i'm a senior in high school. Both of my brothers are already in college so I will be the last to "leave the nest." i knew my mom would be by herself (parents divorced) so I wanted to get her a companion. I've always liked corgis and I researched about their temperment and everything and it seemed like the right choice.
We aren't poor, but my mom and I do try to keep our spending to a minimum with only one income and me working after school. I saw that all of the puppy corgis were 300-500 and I knew we couldnt spend that. There was one number that didnt list the price of the corgis, so we called it. The breeder said she had corgi pups for 300 and I told her that i was looking for something a little less (hoping to bargain) and she said that she had a 3-year female that would be a good house dog that had been spayed because she couldnt hold her litter anymore, she said that "she wasnt any use to her anymore." i couldnt believe that.....i knew i had to get this dog.
So, we waited until after Christmas (we got her the day after my birthday actually) for $100 and AKC papers. We bought her a nice petmate crate and a kong toy and some Iams treats. She was soooo frightened at first...it was hard to see her like that.
In the last few days she has truly changed. I'm sure most of you have read my other post about her being scared, and i will continue the thread, except i might change the title to "my new corgi is brave" instead this morning i took her out at 6:30 and she went no.1 no problem and then at 7 she went no.2 . She played for about 15 min. and is now asleep in her crate.
I guess thats about it so far. Thanks again to everyone who has contributed thus far to my ?'s.

p.s. i promise, pics to come soon, my camera's battery is dead lol
