Okay, so I'm bringing Maya home February 17th. We are driving all the way to Arkansas this time to get her (staying Friday, picking her up Saturday, and bringing her home.) I have read alot about germs and diseases that puppies can pick up. My concerns are where we should stop to let her out to go potty, especially since Dudley is coming along and will need breaks (It's a six hour drive.) I have read that rest stops are breeding grounds for disease, but what are my other options? How likely is it that she could actually pick up a disease? I, ignorantly, did not take these precautions with Dudley--letting him out at a rest stop and taking him to the dreaded pet store, but I don't want to press my luck. What do you think?
