Puppies, especailly those teething often have a hard time eating dry food. So I soak it for them. Sometimes till the age of 5 mos. or so depending on the teething stage.

I add some warm water to my dogs kibble, all of them, adults too. I've learned over the years that dogs will eat better if their food has a varitey of textures. Some dry food and some wet. You can get the wet food by adding a little water. Not enough to make it soggy, but moist. So, I fill the bowls and add a bit of water, the food in the bottom gets a bit moist and the food on top stays a bit crunchy. Also, a bit of warm water helps to bring out the smell.

Not that most corgis need encouragement to eat, but well, seems to help. Also, water will help to disolve or mix in any supplements I add (such as vitamins c and e).
