I had been using a stainless steel bowl since we started crating Dudley, but he almost always dumps in and ends up sitting on a wet blanket for the remainder of the day, which has to irritate his skin. Just wondering what works for everyone else and if anyone has some good suggestions for alternatives.

Try a water bottle. I've used that with puppies for some time now and had good success.
