All the suggestions above sound like good choices, but we thought we'd throw our two cents in. They make a no-spill water bowl that has a tupperware type cover on it with a smaller diameter hole in the middle. We got one for Ace and it did help until he figured out how to rip the cover off of it and fling it over his puppy gate into the living room! (Not to say that Dudley would do this
).
