When you think about the permissive society we live in today where no correction is allowed in the schools and many cases, the home, where violence runs amuck on TV and kids are allowed to have video games that reek with violence and even the cartoons have gone overboard, you develop a society that breeds this kind of behavior. Look at all the shootings in grade school country wide. When I was in grade/high school, the biggest problem teachers/principals had were the rebels that shot rubber bands in class, sailed paper airplanes or smoked in the bathrooms.
There were a few outcast of that era but, it didn't hold a candle to what society is producing today.
There are lots of good kids out there that don't fall into this trap of "I can do anything I want to to whomever I want to" mentality are honest and good citizens. Then, you have those that are like the animals were discussing. Why the difference? I wish I knew. All should take full responsibility for their own actions and not blame their actions on some little whelm when they were young. Unfortunately, many parents, teachers, etc., are the one's to blame just as dog owners are to blame if their pets act like wild wolves around others. Training begins in the home.
