Haha! Yeah, I'm a graphic design major in a four-year program - our coursework is extensive, and the program is geared towards the "elite" graphic design positions - we are the ones that will be designing "the cool stuff" for salaries up to 200k a year... fun fun fun!

We're required to take a lot of art history classes, and one of the most rigorous has an entire section on comics - since comics were one of the first widely accessible pieces of graphic art... a very important piece of our history! Comics were traced from the Katzenjammer Kids in Germany up to modern day comics, while also including graphic novels. In the course of that particular section, we read Maus I and II, Persepolis, A Contract With God, and a few others... it was a great class!
