Thumbs up Puppy diet - what I have learnt so far

Here is my experience with Ein my 12 week old:

*He was eating Royal Cannin small puppy kibble - an OK puppy food I guess. It was what I got him with. The ingredients weren't all that fantastic but weren't extremely bad. He liked eating it.
*Tried introducing Sience diet canned food because my mom in law recommended the adult food. It gave him bloody diarrhea -- I mixed it in gradually until the 5th day, day by day his poop started getting worse and worse. Stay away from this dog food!!!
*Wellness puppy super 5 mix - he loves it and it has no nasties that I scanned for. Its a little more expensive but worth it in my opinion. It does stink of fish a bit but I can live with that.
*Started giving him plain yogurt - this has aided his digestion and recovery from the science diet food. And gives him a nice dose of calcium!
*I had been regulating his diet to small meals three times a day but since his problem with food absorbtion I started free feeding, he is now 10lb - a nice weight the vet said. That and he looks "right" now, his ribs aren't sticking out so much. I will start regulating again when I feel he can maintain his weight at a healthy level.

I haven't tried canned pumpkin and was just about to when his digestion started to come good.

Yogurt has definately helped him so thank you, thank you, thank you to all you guys who suggested this and the other info and posts here!!
