Welcome to Royal Canin Website.
The word junior depends on it's context between dog food companies. Junior could be switched for 'puppy' or 'medium size' also. Junior food could just mean the word 'junior' that is written on the bag.
When selecting something to feed your dog, it would obviously give you more information to look at the ingredients list on the back rather than whatever is printed on the front of the bag.

Michael said that Junior Food were for dogs after 1 year of age, up until 18 months or 2 years of age.
The dog foods here in the US that offer food for "medium size dogs" are for dogs that will weigh a certain amount as an adult. I figured Michael was talking about "Junior Foods" that were available to him in New Zealand and other Countries, but they are not sold here. He made it sound as if these foods were offered everywhere and that we can go to our local market and find them, which we can't.
And I agree, I pay way more attention to the ingredients listed.
