Isn't the "meat/chicken" listed as chicken by-products? By-products are simply a "combulation" of any and every body part put into a big vat/giant crock pot and cooked until they turn into a "soup" and this is sprayed on the kibbles. By-products can also include animals from rendering plants.

Meal, such as chicken meal is different. Whole chicken/meats have a lot of water in them. When made into meal, the water is pressed out of them so you are left with a more concentrated source of nutrition.

I'll admit to being disappointed in her website, more like an advertisement for the brand of food she recommends; but there are tidbits of good information. From the discussions they have had over her several the host has compiled a list of things to avoid in a pet food.
