[red headed stranger]

In the 1970s my corgi, Nutmeg, went camping with me. The VW was loaded with the tent, sleeping bag, ice chest and all of the other things needed. Nutmeg rode on top of the stack in the back seat. Once time in New Mexico we stopped at a mobile Border Patrol check point. Much to my surprise, as the officer approached, there was a rumble right behind my head. He chuckled and said, "You are lucky to be so well protected."

As others have said, our sweet loveable corgis can be wonderful guard dogs.
