I have also read this - but I have seen it work in my own dogs and others, so, I am inclined to ignore the written and go on with supplementing my dogs. It's worth a try Cindy, if it works for your dog, great, keep it up.

I know of some dogs who can't handle the pills that are designed for humans -they make them sick to their stomach, but when switched to powder or as an added ingredient to a supplement were just fine.
