I talked with Chip's breeder last night and she did dock his tail. Only he has a 1 inch stub and it is so cute. I am so glad for that because he waggles it all the time. May I ask why corgi's tails are docked to the point they can't wag (no offense intended) but that is such a big part of dogs. I can see if they are born that way but to actually take the whole tail off just doesn't seem right. Also, Michael I would never use a rubber band to remove a pup's tail. That has got to be painful and also the risk of infection setting in. In the US, people have been fined or gone to jail for that if caught. It only takes a second to snip a puppy's tail when they are very young and then medication is put on the end of the remaining stub.
