I think it must depend on the trainer and each Petsmart. The one we are going to in Charleston has a great class. It is a 9 week class and each week we're given a sheet of instructions of 3/4 different commands that build and reinforce what we have learned the week b4. Our trainer Janet is wonderful - no negitive corrections, 1st the puppy learns with a treat and hand signal what is expected then the voice comand comes into play. Our 1st week the only command we were to teach our dog was to learn it's name by our using a treat and eye contact with the dog. We graduate next week.
