Hi Marilynn,
Welcome to my world!!!! I just spent the weekend tearing up part of my wall to wall carpeting and installing an inexpensive remnant thanks to Jemma's preference for tinkling in the dining room.
When is he doing this?? For me it's when I'm at work so I've bought a babygate and Miss Jemma is going to spend a month in the kitchen (at least) until I think she has forgotten. She's been in there 2 days and not a tinkle. Also, a crucial thing is getting rid of the smell - they smell it and they will go there again. My carpet was so far gone, my only choice was getting rid of it and throughly cleaning and resealing the hardwood floor before recarpeting.
Patience too - I think will help - anyone have any extra???
