Okay...I am starting to get it.
First, let me clarify. Both corgi's are spayed and the lab has an appointment. The lab is 5 and the last time she saw a vet or had any shots was at her first birthday. It was quite expensive to get her up to date and some medical issues resolved. But with more money in the bank...she has her appointment.
Corgi #1 is Reilly. Corgi #2 is Kate. And no, I am not an only child. But I am the oldest. Also, I have three kids. So...I know how affection has to be spread but I had never applied it to my dogs. I see your point. Now Kate and Reilly alternate days going to work with me. And both are sleeping in their kennels.
Reilly, being the first born, is spoiled and by letting Kate hide in the closet...it seems to have made things worse.
They have been getting along much better since Kate has come out of the closet and is chosing to hang around the family. They both have calmed down quite a bit. I don't know if the spat set the record straight or what. Or the combo of my efforts are making the difference.
I love my corgi's but perhaps too much.
