Conformation showing, obedience and agility are the 'big three' of dog sports but of course anything else that is also a dog sport is applicable here in this sub topic slot without having to spell it out. There are 20-odd dog sports. I suppose I should know because I did an article a year or so ago on regular dog activities world wide. So in summary, herding, tracking, trialling, etc are all fully part of Shows and Activities.
Please allow me to respectfully disagree.

First let me say, I can see now I was mistaken when I supposed the "Corgi Events" and "Other Activities" sub-forums were redundant. I apologize for missing "upcoming" in the description under "Corgi Events". Perhaps the possibility of others being similarly confused could be eliminated by moving the word "upcoming" from the description to the title of the sub-forum, thus rendering it "Upcoming Corgi Events". Just out of curiosity, who is going to be responsible for removing announcements there once the events are past?

That said, I still do not believe the proper place for herding, tracking, flyball, free style, and other "lesser sports" is to be lumped with picnics, walks and other purely social events. I'm sorry, but many folks devote a lot of time training their dogs for these activities, and I believe it's demeaning to relegate them to the same grouping as Sunday in the Park with Corgis. I don't think we need to see separate sub-forums for each, simply one for serious activities other than the "big three" and another for social events involving Corgis.

Finally, just as a note I would remind you that while herding may not be considered a major sport in the overall dog world, these forums are dedicated to discussion of two herding breeds.
