Oh my Michael you sound like the California isolationist, don't care what goes on beyond their home boundaries, don't have time for politics, though don't like the current leader. I can say that being a native Californian. We enjoy royalty because we don't have royalty in the US. Our pom and circumstance is quite different for our President compared to the courtly British Queen. We assume you being British commonwealth member would see more photos of the Queen and her dogs.

Now I'm not all that thrilled about our current President but I don't ignore pictures of him or his wonderful dogs, and I'm not alone in this matter. I also tend to pause and listen to your British Prime Minister because I love his speaking ability, not found in our President.
