I can see how it would give you grief if nothing changes. I think that the fact that Jack has not called to inquire about Taffy is disheartening. I can't imagine going anywhere and not calling to inquire how Cody was doing, even in the best of hands. I think Jack looks at Taffy as a pest of a dog and he is hoping that Taffy will come back a well behaved, changed dog, when in reality, it is Jack who has to change in regards to how he interacts with Taffy, in order to get the positive responses he so desires.
It will be interesting to hear how Taffy acts when reunited with Jack
