Bone anxiety

I don't know quite what to think when Taylor turns on an act after being presented with a bone. Dogs always do something for a reason. What is the reason here?
The last two occasions I have given Taylor a large, heavy bone, he has left the bone and gone over to me and ran around me, jumped up at me several times, slung down and appealed to me. None of these actions displayed any aggression towards me. What is he trying to tell me? Both times he continued to leave his bone alone when I went inside the house. And only after some movement on my part and imploring him to get stuck iinto his bone, did he finally obliged. And two-three hours later, the bone was done for. But of his original behaviour I am at lost to put a finger on it, though I have some ideas.
What's your opinion?
