Love the pic of your puppy and welcome to the Board. On a side note, Jane I thought those were good suggestions. When I first got Chip & Dale both, I would rub their little paws while they were cuddled on my lap and handled them both freely. They are not the worse for wear. I also put Dale in bed with us the first night home because Chip would have none of Dale sleeping in a crate and Dale whined. I looked in both of their mouths quite often and did not have any problems. Each puppy is different so you should use your best judgment. I don't think you can over handle a corgi's feet. Chip and Dale still don't like it.
