She is feeling a lot better today and is back to her perky, cheeky self.
The symptoms were that her eye became a little more wet than normal, but nothing to cause alarm. Then she began rubbing at the eye with her paw and the tissue beneath her eyelids looked a little red. Got some Tricin (antibiotic ointment) from the vet to apply 3 - 4 times a day. At that stage, there was no evidence of an ulcer. Initially, it cleared up and she stopped rubbing and the whites were nice and white again. But about a week later, same thing. I shot her back to the vet quick as, because she has had this before in the other eye, so I was alert to the possibility of it being non-healing a lot earlier. Because it was picked up quickly, she could be operated on by our vet instead of having to go to the opthalmologist.
