There really is a town called Bean Blossom. Apparently it was in the 60's or 70's there was a Grateful Dead concert and some of the people didn't want to follow them anymore so they settled there and called it Bean Blossom. That's the story I heard. If it's true or not, I don't know. The vet there is an old man who does it for the love of animals. He gets up every morning at 330 to go to the local farms to check out their animals and he also makes house calls for people who live around there. He doesn't open till 1 pm, and it's first come first serve. He doesn't want anyone to not take their pets to the vet because of financial issues, so he doesn't charge much. I knew someone who took their dog there who needed his leg amputated and he did that, kept him for 2 days, sent him home with antibiotics and all his follow up visits and they only paid $125. He's very good at what he does.
